Our Relationships

Our relationships are at the heart of everything we do—because lasting impact in the West End is only possible when we work together.

Partners:

Partnerships That Power Our impact

At the West End Pay It Forward Trust, our work is built on relationships. Behind every grant awarded, every family supported, and every community project brought to life is a network of trusted partners who share a commitment to the West End.

These partnerships are more than financial—they are collaborative, strategic, and grounded in accountability and shared vision. From stewarding long-term investments to expanding grant opportunities and responding in times of need, each relationship strengthens our ability to serve.

Together, these partnerships allow us to do more than we could alone—supporting local organizations, investing in community priorities, and helping build a resilient West End for years to come.

  • The West End Pay It Forward Trust operates as a designated fund of the Telluride Foundation, with its own independent Board of Directors. This partnership provides the financial and administrative backbone that allows WEPIFT to responsibly manage and grow its funds.

The Foundation oversees investment management and ensures compliance with nonprofit standards, while WEPIFT directs how funds are used to serve the community. Together, they maintain strong financial stewardship, regular reporting, and a sustainable spending policy that supports long-term impact.

  • Citizens State Bank is a longstanding partner supporting WEPIFT’s Community Grant Program. Through an annual contribution, the bank helps fund grants that go directly to West End nonprofits working on local projects and initiatives.

In addition to financial support, CSB plays an active role in the partnership by helping promote grant opportunities and maintaining representation on WEPIFT’s Board—strengthening both community connection and outreach.

  • Following the closure of the Nucla Station, Tri-State partnered with WEPIFT to invest in the long-term resilience of the West End. Through a $500,000 gift, WEPIFT was entrusted to steward funds supporting both immediate community needs and future economic development.

This partnership led to the creation of the Resiliency Grant Program, which directs funding toward projects that strengthen and diversify the local economy. It also includes ongoing collaboration, reporting, and board participation to ensure the funds continue to serve the community as intended.

  • WEPIFT partnered with the West End Advisory Committee to carry forward its Emergency Fund, ensuring continued support for local families facing unexpected hardship. When WEAC dissolved, WEPIFT absorbed its remaining funds and committed to maintaining this critical resource.

Today, the Emergency Fund provides rapid-response assistance to qualifying households, offering timely support during moments of crisis while continuing WEAC’s mission of community care.
